What sets us apart from other
Cleaners?
Do you think all cleaners are the same? Well, by appearances we
might look the same. We all clean, press and package clothes,
but the end result can be like night and day! If you've ever tried
to save a couple dollars at discount cleaners and had your clothes
ruined... then you didn't really save, did you?
It’s important to take your clothes to a true, professional cleaner
who really knows and cares about what they’re doing. That’s who we
are! Posh French Cleaners takes expert care of your clothes. Our
entire operational process is what sets us far ahead of other
cleaners. Coupled with our outstanding Customer Service, we
guarantee your peace of mind.
Take a closer look at how we do things: The Plant
We start with the basics... Our First Class stores, equipment and
solvents are meticulously maintained on a daily basis, so your
clothes come out their cleanest. Our high standard of quality
control in all aspects of the plant is a critical priority to ensure
top-notch results.
Counter and Pre-inspection
When you entrust your garments to Posh French Cleaners, we continually
inspect them before, during and after processing. Upon taking in an
order, we carefully tag your garments and enter them into our
computerized inventory system. Our software ensures the most
accurate tracking of garments, thereby eliminating lost or mixed
garments.
Next,
we inspect the general condition of your clothes. We check the
manufacturer's care instructions, noting the fiber content, looking
for designer buttons, and unusual or fragile accessories, possible color loss,
holes, etc. and note any special attention needed. If we think you
may not be aware of damage prior to processing your garments or if
there is the possibility
of a problem, we will call to inform you of the related risks. We
believe you have the right to make the final call on treatment of
your garments. Items requiring any type of special consideration are
kept separate and receive an extra tag specifying those
instructions: wet clean, leather trim, etc.
We
prepare your garments prior to cleaning as necessary for protection:
covering or removing buttons, securing shoulder pads, measuring,
etc. Garments are separated according to fabric type, color, and
degree of soiling.
Dry Cleaning
It takes a skilled and experienced spotter to know what spots can be
safely removed, and how best to do it. The key word is safely!
Our Spotters Are NCA Certified
Our expert spotters at Posh French Cleaners remove spots safely
because they know what to use, how to use it, and when to stop
(before any damage is done). They have dozens of chemicals and tools
at their disposal and decades of experience. Our favorite assurance
is: "If it can come out (safely), We'll get it out!" We clean each
garment according to its specified care instruction, and of course,
when certain items such as a beaded evening gown, an angora sweater,
or jacket with a leather trim require individualized special care
and handling, it is treated as such.
Finishing Touches
Different fabrics are handled differently, and the pressing of fine
garments also requires special, expert care. Our knowledgeable and
experienced pressers carefully hand finish your clothes according
to their special needs to restore their original shape and
appearance. Sizing and other finished are re-applied when necessary
or as requested. Some fabrics, like linen or cotton, usually require
more heat and pressure for a nice, crisp finish, while fine wools
and wool blends require a soft press to avoid a shiny finish.
As with all our dry cleaning services, our finishing is expertly
done with special attention to different types of garments. For
example:
-
Shirts/Blouses - All sleeves are 'rolled', meaning pressed without
a crease. Special attention is always given to the collar &
cuffs. You won't find any impressions on button or pocket flaps.
-
Pants - Pleats
line up with the crease, but you won't find any double creases
going down your leg, the way we do it! All lining is steamed
out, and pants that should be rolled are delivered perfectly
every time!
-
Jackets/Blazers -
The lapel rolls from the top button. There are no impressions or
shine, especially under the pocket flaps. The lining is pressed
to perfection.
-
Sweaters - After
cleaning, we carefully block sweaters, then gently card and
remove any of those annoying balls, pills & lint.
THE LITTLE EXTRAS:We do minor repairs at no charge, such as:
- We take
care of missing or loose buttons, hooks and/ loops.
- There's
a loose label, small open seams, or a few stitches out of the
hem,
we pull out a needle and thread and sew it right up!
- Zippers
are checked. If it's stuck or rough to zip, we put a little
zipper wax on it and boom...it's an easy slide!
- We
notice the tiniest details...down to the finest holes. There is
a small charge for special handling, such as removing and re-sewing fancy buttons or other ornaments, etc. If major repairs
are needed,
we will call to inform you of the charges and to see
if you want it repaired, if it's not previously arranged.
- Any lint
remaining is carefully removed to finish the job!
Making the Grade & Passing
Inspection
Finally, all garments are inspected again with precision before
leaving the assembly area. If a garment doesn't pass inspection,
it's returned to the appropriate station until our full time quality
control inspector is completely satisfied that you'll be pleased.
(He's a real 'stickler' for quality and we're proud he's on our
team!)
Finishing a Quality Job
Finally, we package your garment so it can stay clean, pressed
and fresh!
-
Sleeves are stuffed so they stay full
and unwrinkled while hanging.
- Collars are supported with either tissue
or collar bands so they won't get crushed.
- Jackets and blazers are hung on heavy
hangers with shoulder guards. A plastic guard is used in front
when necessary to hold the lapel in place.
- Most items are bagged separately. Pants,
skirts, and
T-shirts are put two or three to a bag.
- Two-piece outfits are bagged together in
the same bag.
- Belts are inserted into belt boards and
attached over the hanger of the garment.
- Two piece outfits, such as a suit, are
bagged together in the same bag.
- Ties are put on tie boards.
- Silky, slinky and/or delicate sweaters are
hung over a strut hangers with tissue to avoid stretching,
puckering and wrinkles.
- Regular sweaters are carefully folded with
tissue inside and placed in a plastic bag.
We accommodate any special requests you may have, such as extra
tissue in the sleeves, hanging pants by the waist, etc. Just ask
us... We're here to do it your way!

dry-cleaning. If you are not completely satisfied with the quality
of our cleaning, we will re-clean the items free of charge.

provide. |
